MOUNT TRAINING
NikyaksNikyaks are large, mostly gentle creatures who resemble both a bear and a yak. Nikyaks allow any Woolyne to ride them with rarely any fuss, making them an easy mount. However, once bonded with its rider, a Nikyak will show much more personality, loyalty and overall dependability as a companion. Many Woolyne seek Nikyaks as mounts for their gentle, easy going nature and general likeability combined with their tough exteriors, while others depend on Nikyaks for travel and transport through mountain terrain and cold. Nothing matches a Nikyak’s strength.
Incredibly durable, Nikyaks are fitting for a Woolyne who values a powerful offense and defense in battle, a dependable travel buddy, or an excellent cargo carrier. Nikyaks are exclusively bred in the mountains of Orilon. |
Nikyaks tend to have natural colors and patterns.

DrakernThese wyverns take a fine and determined hand to master. Drakerns will not bond with a rider until the Woolyne has proven themselves worthy of trust to the wyvern's judgement. Since Drakern are notoriously temperamental and scrutinizing, this feat may take a while to accomplish. However, once bonded, Drakerns make a fiercely loyal companion and will bond only to one rider in their lifetime.
Fast and nimble, Drakern are fitting for Woolyne who value maneuverability, power, and agility rather than raw defense for their mount. The Drakern's flight capabilities offer many advantages in travel and battle, but they cannot handle the cold well. Drakern are exclusively bred in the mountains of Odysse. |
Drakerns tend to be colorful and vibrant! They still retain natural patterns. |
Selpie
Selpies boast high compassion, and they are known for rescuing shipwrecked Woolyne lost at sea. As a mount they are graceful and swift in the water, but on land they are quite awkward. A perfect mount for any seafaring Woolyne, especially those of the treasure hunting sort. Selpies have a keen eye for shiny objects and are great for finding lost items!
Selpies are are bred along the southern shoreline, most notably around Corwyn. |
Selpies tend to be found in blue, green, and gray tones. |
ElkinElkin are naturally graceful, scaling mountainsides so sheer that it looks like they could be floating. These mounts are favored by Amiyn royalty, praised for their hides that shimmer and mimic the clear mountain stars.
|
Elkin tend to be dark but they can be various shades of dark palettes, their light markings can colorful.
|
CarazulThese proud creatures don't pick just any woolyne to ride them! Naturally aggressive, these mounts are not to be tamed by the faint of heart. A national symbol of the Mazri kingdom, Woolyne lore says that they sprung from a drop of Mazrim blood.
|
Carazul tend to be found in warm natural colors and patterns; like russets, browns, siennas with stripes, but eyes can be any color
|
QuetzalizThese color changing lizards are great climbers! They can stick to practically any surface, and are quite fast as well. Trainers can tell the mood of their Quetzaliz by what color the lizard is!
Quetzalis are most prominent in the areas surrounding Solaris, Azmarin, and Su-bahn. They do not fare well in the cold. |
Quetzaliz can be any color since they can actually change color
